- (1)The cytology of sputum(small cell carcinoma of lung)
Smear of sputum (Papanicolaou Stain Medium power) A cluster of loosely coherent small cells are seen (compared with orange normal squamous cells in background). By comparison the tumor cells have very little cytoplasm.
