Microscopic findings (H.E. high magnification): Gemistocytic astrocytoma demonstrated a proliferation of astrocyte-like tumor cells with eccentric rounded nuclei and eosinophilic ground-glass like large cytoplasms. Some tumor cells demonstrated elongation of thick neurites.
