Macroscopic view: Similar to squamous cell carcinoma, small cell carcinoma arises in relatively larger bronchi. In this example, cancer tracks along the bronchial tree carcinoma and invades the peripheral lung with extreme bronchial stricture (arrow). The mediastinal pleura is thickened (arrow head).
