The Japanese Society of Pathology

The society is responsible for managing and certifying the Japanese Board of Pathology and Oral Pathology in Anatomic Pathology under the jurisdiction of the Japanese Medical Specialty Board. The Board certification examination is given once a year, currently in September. The society also provides pathologists an opportunity to maintain general and subspecialty competence after completing the certification process, which requires continuing medical education and practice expertise.
