Macroscopic image:Noninvasive carcinoma (dotted line) usually spread within mammary ducts and therefore rarely results in a palpable mass. Comedo carcinomas are often associated with intratumoral calcifications particularly in the area of central necrosis, which may be detected by mammography or ultrasonography.
